New Music with a twist. It's no surprise I suppose that this album has an underpinning of new music/contemporary/classical as Brother Jim has an educational background in contemporary classical composition (graduated with a composition major from Boston University's School of Fine and Applied Arts).

Yet, because of his love for other genres such as jazz, world, and electronica it is sprinkled with many other ingredients. Interwoven and sprinkled on top you will find ethnic elements, such as tabla and/or tribal drums, Aboriginal instruments, middle and far-eastern instruments, exotic vocals, synthesizers, and a host of other diverse instruments and "concrete" sounds to flavor each track.

What to call it? Sound art? How about #ClassicoEthnoElectroPrimitive? Who knows!? You decide. We will probably need to invent a new genre to incorporate this unique fusion.
